The employee of Institute took part at traning course that was held in Izmir city of Turkey

On 17-23 April, Jumshudova Humay, junior research fellow of “Plant selection” department of Research Institute of Crop Husbandry took part at training that was dedicated to the wheat rust control, control measures with race analysis and wheat rust diseases in Central Asia and the Middle East under the auspices of FAO and ICARDA in Izmir Regional Wheat Rust Research Center of Turkey. At the seminar in conjunction with Azerbaijan representation as well as Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Iran, Lebanon and Turkey took part in the delegation.
Ali Peksuslu, director of Aegean Agricultural Research Institute and Yuriko Shodji FAO representative in Turkey opening the activity welcomed and noted the participants damage caused by rust diseases in the countries they represent, and the importance of prevention of these problems.
The presenters of the event- Fazil Dushunjeli, FAO representative and Mesut Keser, representative of ICARDA in Turkey made a speech about various lectures on the evaluation of these diseases. As well as Kumarse Nazari, FAO representative; Hafiz Mominjanov, representative of FAO in Turkey; Dave Hodson, representative of CIMMYT in Turkey made a speech with valuable lectures. Then, there were presentations of countries. Our employee- Jumshudova Humay gave more information about diseases, conditions, ways of prevention. There were laboratory and field training on the basis of the lectures and the employee of institute attended actively in the practical studies. The presentation of our employee, her participation on practical trainings was highly appreciated.
At the end of seminar, the participants were presented with certificates.
