A group of representatives from the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences visited the Agricultural Research Institute

A group of representatives from the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences visited the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry to get acquainted and establish future scientific cooperation. The meeting was attended by the director of the institute Faig Khudayev, deputy directors, heads of laboratories and departments.

During the meeting, the director of the institute spoke about the history of the institute, its activities, plants included in its mandate, research work, research priorities and goals, noting that the institute has great scientific potential to develop cooperation.

Melinda TAR, PhD, head of the Agricultural Research Station of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, in turn, spoke about the history of the university. He said the university was established in 2000 after the merger of several small institutes. It is a technological university located about 30 km from Budapest, the capital of Hungary. The university has eight faculties, including agricultural and environmental sciences. About 15,000 students study here.

Prospects for further development of cooperation between the institutions in the field of agriculture were discussed at the meeting. The discussions also touched upon cooperation in agricultural education, agricultural research and technology exchange in other areas. Afterwards, the parties praised the results of the first meeting and reached a preliminary agreement on establishing cooperation.
