The employee of Research Institute of Crop Husbandry took part scientific-practical conference about the current state and prospects of development of the tobacco growing

On 21st February 2017, there was held conference co-organized by Ministry of Agriculture, Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, the Zagatala Region Executive Power in Zagatala region about "The current situation and development prospects of tobacco growing ". The landowners, farmers and entrepreneurs from Sheki- Zagatala regions , Ismayilli, Goranboy, Imishli, Lerik, Masali, Gasakh, Tovus region took place on conference . Mubaris Ahmedsade, Zagatala Region Executive Power opened conference with his speech. He spoke about the work done for the development of traditional areas of agriculture, including the development of tobacco growing. Ibrahim Jafarov, Rector of Azerbaijan State Agrarian University and Corresponding Member of Azerbaijan National Sciences Academy made a speech on successful results of the agrarian reform and future duties, current situation and development prospects of tobacco growing. Deputy Director of Agricultural Science and Information Advisory Center spoke on "The economic and agricultural importance of tobacco growing in the country", Gurban Mammadov, PhD in agricultural science and head of the department of plant and plant protection made a speech on "Tobacco plant breeding technology", Bahlul Abasov scientific worker of Research Institute of Crop Husbandry made a speech on "The selection and seed production of tobacco", Vusal Mamadov, instead of docent and PhD in agricultural science talked on "Tobacco plant diseases and pests", senior adviser of Agro Credit Shareholder Credit Institution talked about “The application of new technologies in production and processing of tobacco”. farmers engaged in tobacco growing were questioned after discussions and exchanged views.
