An online event in zoom format on "The role of local varieties in grain production in the country" was held

Rafael Mahmudov, Deputy Head of the Crop Production and Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Faig Khudayev, Director of the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry, Atif Zamanov, Deputy Director for Production, Novruzlu Garib, Director of Sheki RAEIC, Hagigat Hashimova, Director of Tartar Regional Experimental Station, Jalilabad Station Director Shahlar Asadullayev, representative of Agro Dairy Mammadzade Nabiyev. In their speeches, the participants said that the issues of increasing the turnover of local grain varieties in the country and the organization of joint work in this direction are extremely important. Thus, in order to provide farmers with detailed information about the varieties created by the  Research Institute of Crop Husbandry and to increase farmers' interest in planting local grain varieties, as well as to increase the turnover of local varieties in grain production, the Agricultural Research Institute will coordinate with Agro Dairy. The event analyzed the current situation within the role of local varieties in grain production in the country, highlighted the purpose of the event, clarified a number of important issues and solutions to problems. Relevant proposals were made by the participants of the event and discussions were held.
