According to the website www.science.gov.az at the Scientific seminar of the Institute of Geography named after academician HA Aliyev of ANAS held on March 4, 2022, the chairman of the Public Union "Intellect" in support of scientific and technical development, the presentation of the book "Armenianization of the names of settlements in the historical territories of Azerbaijan" by Yasin Azerturk (Karimov), senior researcher of the Azerbaijan  Research Institute of Crop Husbandry, Doctor of Agrarian Sciences, was held.

Speaking at the event, Director General of the Institute, Doctor of Geographical Sciences Zakir Eminov noted that the book was prepared by Doctor of Agrarian Sciences Yasin Karimov within the project "Collection and publication of foreign archival materials confirming Armenia's policy of aggression against Azerbaijan" funded by the Council of State Support to NGOs. The Director General noted the importance of the book, which found important documents in the Russian archives and proved the renaming and Armenianization of the historical territories of Azerbaijan (now Armenia). He said that more than 60 decrees and other documents of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Armenian SSR obtained by Y. Azerturk proved that more than 300 names of Turkish origin were changed to Armenian names in 1946-1968 under various pretexts(To date, the number of such names has exceeded 1,000). According to the scientist, the Armenians used various excuses to appropriate the ancient Turkic names in order to cover up the traces of history. For example, the reference attached to the decree reads: "Armenia is working to change the names of settlements of Turkish origin, which have an insulting meaning from the rule of foreign invaders. Also, Armenian historical names are restored as much as possible. Or another decree reads: "In connection with the relocation of the population to Azerbaijan, the named settlements should be abolished."

The author of the article, Yasin Azerturk, emphasized the role of our leading intellectuals, government officials, scientists in the creation of the book, which was completed on the basis of a grant project.

In the front pages of the book,The Safavid state of Azerbaijan has 3,500,000 km2. In the end, A list of names modified settlements in Armenia is given which is the actual names and date indicating, changed settlements, following the expulsion of all Azerbaijanis from its historical territories in 1988-1991.
