There was held scientific and practical seminar on conducting research on winter grain crops in the spring field work in Shaki

On 30 March, There was held Scientific-Practical Seminar on"Evaluation of winter grain crops and to carry out complex scientific basis on spring field work organized by the Agrarian Science and Information Advisory Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Service for Agricultural Projects and Credit Management under the Ministry of Agriculture, the Sheki Regional Agrarian Science and Information Advisory Center and the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry. Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Rasul Balayev, Director General of the Agrarian Science and Information Advisory Center, welcomed the participants and spoke about the importance of the implementation of the issues related to the development of grain growing, the importance of joint cooperation between producers of crude and scientific-research institutions in the "Strategic Road Map on Agricultural Products Production and Processing in the Republic of Azerbaijan". Nuraddin Ibrahimov, The deputy head of the Shaki Region Agriculture Department, informed the participants about the priority areas of grain growing in the region, the current state of grain crops, and the measures taken to increase productivity. Speaking at the event, Chief of the Sheki District Plant Protection Department Talat Mehdiyev, Director of Sheki Rheimim Elkhan Ilyasov, Director of Sheki Support Base of Agricultural ET Institute Majlum Shukurov spoke about the dynamic development of the agrarian sector in the country, agro-technical activities in the region, current phytosanitary situation, noted the necessity of holding such events. Javanshir Talay, Director of Research Institute of Crop Husbandry informed on the theme "Potential productivity and factors influencing the conditions of fresh grains varieties", Namila Azizova, head of the disease and pest control laboratory made a speech on"Pests and complex phytosanitary measures against them". They gave farmers detailed information on the effectiveness and quality of fertilizer norms and rates on wheat, productivity and quality requirements, measures to combat weeds and diseases. The questions of the seminar participants were answered appropriately. The seminar continued its work with field demonstration, and participants were provided with detailed information about the varieties on demonstration crops and discussions were held on them.
