The final seminar was held on “GCP/AZE/006/TUR: the development of environmentally clean agriculture and increasing institutional capacity in Azerbaijan” project

On 24.04.2018, the final seminar was held on “GCP/AZE/006/TUR: the development of environmentally clean agriculture and increasing institutional capacity in Azerbaijan” project JW Marriot Absheron at the Baku Hotel with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of the Republic of Turkey, FAO Office of Partnership and Coordination in Azerbaijan and international experts.. Seymur Safarli, Deputy Head of department at the Ministry of Agriculture expressed his views about the innovations and innovations of the project for agriculture. Hafiz Mumynjanov, Chief Technical Officer of the project, moderator of the seminar welcomed the participants and gave brief information about the project. The project was funded by Turkey under the FAO Turkey Partnership Program. To distribute promoting the production of environmentally friendly agricultural products, sustainable use of natural resources and the environment, environmentally friendly production methods in the country was the goal of project. Mrs. Aksoy, International Advisor for FAO's organic agriculture, made presentations on the current state of organic agriculture in the world and in Azerbaijan, possible directions of organic agriculture development in Azerbaijan and presentations on prepared standards. Ayhan Baran, representative of Turkey's Agriculture and Livestock Ministry, also spoke about the necessity of growing organic agricultural products, giving international certificates to those products and Turkey's experience in this field. Garibov Zohrab, Islamzade Taryverdi, Feyzullayev Hussein, employees of Research Institute of Crop Husbdry took an active part in the seminar. It also contributes to the gradual increase of its productivity by improving soil quality.
