The Scientific-Practical Seminar in "EL-GÜN" LLC Farming of Sabirabad Region was held by Research Institute of Crop Husbandry

The Scientific-Practical Seminar in "EL-GÜN" LLC Farming of Sabirabad Region was held by Research Institute of Crop Husbandryon "Implementation of regional and prospective wheat and barley varieties and organization of seeds on scientific basis" was held in Aran region. At the seminar, besides scientists and specialists from the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry Sabirabadand Saatli, local farmers, seed farmers, head of Sabirabad Agricultural Department and specialists and more than 30 farmers from the region's regions took part in the seminar. The seminar was opened by Nizami Hummatov, deputy director on scientifical works. N. Hummatov welcomed the seminar participants and talked about the importance of the seminar, the role of local grains in food supply of the country's population, particularly the role of wheat varieties, and proper implementation of agro-processing in innovative processes in "soil-seed-feeding-agrotechnics-crop" interactions. Then speech was given to the head of the Sabirabad District Agricultural Department, Heydar Yagubov. H.Yagubov talked about the "State Support for the Development of Local Grains in Sabirabad Region and Development of Grain Growing" and talked about the work done in this area in the region, perspectives of development of local wheat varieties, the role and tasks faced by farmers in the region in general grain production and other issues. Atif Zamanov, deputy director on production at theResearch Institute of Crop Husbandry, made a presentation on the theme "Advantages of new varieties of grains and their development perspectives". Then speaking on the theme "Application of fertilizer norms for the purchase of high quality products from grain crops",Sevindik Dunyamaliyev spoke about the fertilization system, the timing, rates of fertilizers, ensuring high yields of grain crops. The founder of EL-GAY LLC, Beydagha Veliyev, spoke on the topic of "The role of farmers in spreading and enhancing local varieties of grains" and noted that the results were in the focus of attention and called farmers to prefer local varieties of grains. Discussions were held around the speeches and questions were answered accordingly. Then, the seminar participants, Sabirabad chief Bahruz KFT Yagub Yagubov, farmers Yaver Abbasov (Sabirabad), Alesger Ahmadov (Saatli) and others expressed their appreciation for the workshop organized by the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry and noted its importance for farmers. Then, the seminar participants reviewed the demonstration plantations of local grain varieties by employees of Research Institute of Crop Husbandry in the farm "EL-GÜN".  The participants were given detailed information about the sort, and the workshop was completed.
