Employee of the Research İnstitute of Crop Husbandry participated in a training seminar held in the People's Republic of China

On 1-21 June 2018, Zohrab Garibov, doctorate, a scientific worker at the Department of Plant Selection of the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry, took part in a training workshop on “Seeding and management of agricultural crops” in Pekkin, Pekin, in the cities of Shenzhen, Luohu, Tianjin, in Suzhou of People's Republic of China. Training seminar was organized by the Economic Trade Advisory Services under the Embassy of the PRC in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic, Ministry of Agriculture of the Azerbaijan Republic, (Ministry of Agriculture of the PRC, PR China), National Agro-Technological Release and the National Agro-Tech Extension and Service Centers (NATESC). Representatives from 53 countries were also present at the event. There were lectures on seed farming in agriculture, its priorities, sowing and management of agricultural crops. Zohrab Garibov also participated in practical workshops organized in the fields of paddy, corn and wheat during the seminar. He has also taken an active part in extensive discussion sessions on the sampling of soil sampling, agrochemical methods of analysis, and the work done on a unified and open database on soil sampling and soil analysis results in the field of analyzed soil samples. Extensive discussions were held between land analysis and similar and different methods the in laboratories in the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry.  According to the program of the event, participants of the seminar visited other regions of the People's Republic of China after Peking. They visited 8 agricultural crop analysis laboratories, 1 agricultural college and 2 agricultural higher education institutions during the visit. There were also presentations on the seeds of sustainable agricultural crops on diseases and pests, as well as abiotic stress factors.

Z.Garibov took part in practical training on gathering seeds in seed farming and seed-growing enterprises, cleaning and selling, innovative agricultural techniques and applications, agricultural techniques, seed cleaning, drying and packing machines and mechanisms in China. At the same time Z. Garibov, who closely interacted with the teaching staff, discussed the future prospects of cooperation between them and the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry.

The organizers of the workshop for their active participation in the event, along with a letter of appreciation, Garibov Zohrab were presented with certificates.During the seminar; he delivered a presentation about Azerbaijan, its agriculture, science and education. The presentation caused the participants' interest.
