There was held seminar on "Innovative Approaches in Agrarian Science and Application of Agriculture in Agriculture" in ASAU

There was held seminar on "Innovative oriented research in agrarian science and application of results in agriculture" jointly organized by the Scientific Research Council of the Azerbaijan Republic on the Scientific Committee on the Issues of Genetics and Selection of Agricultural Plants and Animals and Agrarian Science and Information Advisory Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Opening the event, the rector of the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Ibrahim Jafarov welcomed the participants and noted that these seminars will help agriculture. Following the announcement of the seminar, chairman of the Scientific Council on "Genetics and Selection of Agricultural Plant and Animal Selection", Director of the Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS, correspondent member of ANAS Zeynal Akperov said that agriculture is one of the main strategic sectors of the country's economy in terms of food security. He emphasized that the development of the field would be possible only through the introduction of innovative scientific research at the most advanced level and the intensive application of the scientific results. He spoke about the main strategic directions and research priorities of the research, including the organizational structure of the Agrarian Science and Information Advisory Center and its subordinate research institutes, the development of innovations, the factors that make it, transferring advanced technologies to the agricultural area. Then, Zeynal Akperov spoke about the demands put forward by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the field of agrarian science and education, the challenges of modern times.He undelined on the importance of directing and coordinating research. According to the program of the event, Javanshir Talai, Director of the Agricultural Research Institute, made a presentation on the topic "Approaches from agrarian scientific research and application of innovations in agriculture". Later, J. Talaİ talked more on the development of innovative consortia aimed at providing long-term mutually beneficial cooperation and quality service among research and education institutions. At the end of the event the dissertation topics of doctoral and dissertation researchers of ASAU, Agrarian Science and Information Counseling Center and Research Institutes of Ganja Department of ANAS were discussed and necessary recommendations were given on the implementation of research works.
