The employees of Research Isntitute of Crop Husbandry took part at training course

Halima Mammadova and Zohrab Garibov, scientific worker of Research Institute of Crop Husbandry took part at sub regional training course about “Risk analysis, management and verification of Genetically modified (GM) products” through the FAO in Ankara city of Turkey . There were employees of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan along with the Turkey Republic. Ms. Yuriko Sodji, sub-regional coordinator on Central Asian states and representative of FAO in Turkey greeted and opened the meeting and noted about importance of the need for risk assessment of the products (GM). The presenters of training Alexei Tarasyev from Serbia, Nevena Aleksandrova-Stefanova from Hungary and Jeremi Svit, adviser from the UK made a presentation about analysis evaluation and risk assessment. There were seminar trainings beside of lectures and our staff actively participated in the trainings. The participates acquainted study of the national biosafety, food safety and the International Food Reference Laboratories of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ministry. Halima Mammadova made a speech about “the current status of bio safety products of Food and Genetically Modified Products In Azerbaijan”. The presentation, as well as active participants in the seminars of the workshop was highly appreciated by our employees. At the end of the training course, the participants were presented with certificates.
