Faig Allahverdi Khudayev , Ph.D. in Agriculture Science, Associate Professor / Director
Director of the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry, Doctor of Philosophy in Agriculture Sciences, Associate Professor Faig Allahverdi Khudayevwas born in 1974 in Gomur village of Azizbayov region of the Republic of Armenia of SSR. In 1981, he entered the Gomur village secondary school, but due to the Karabakh events, he and his family settled in Chalkhangala village of Kangarli region of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic as IDPs. In 1991, he graduated from Chalkhangala village secondary school named after Farman Karimzadeh with a silver medal, and in the same year entered the Faculty of Agriculture of Nakhchivan State University named after Yusif Mammadaliyev. In 1996, he graduated with honors from the full-time department of agronomy at the same university. In 1996, he graduated with honors from the full-time department of agronomy at the same university. During his student years, he showed great interest in research work and was awarded a second degree diploma by the TETJ Council of Nakhchivan State University named after Y. Mammadaliyev for his achievements at the student scientific conference.
He has been a member of the New Azerbaijan Party since 1994. He started his career from 15.01.1997 to 2002 as a general director of "Barakat" company.
In 2005-2008 he studied at the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry, postgraduate study in breeding and seed production.
In 2007-2010 he worked as an deputy assistant in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In 2008-2010 he worked as a junior scientistin the plant breeding department of the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry, and in 2010-2013 he worked as a senior scientist in the same department.
In 2012, he defended his dissertation on “Creation of high-quality raw material for selection of durum wheat using intra-variety hybridization” and in 2014 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Agriculture Sciences. He received the title of associate professor of seed.
In order to obtain the degree of Doctor of Agriculture Sciences, he conducts research on "Creation of new varieties of durum wheat for the pasta industry using intra-species hybridization in different agro-ecological conditions."
In 2014, he was elected chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Center for Agrarian Science and Innovation.
He is the author of 35 scientific articles, 3 modular textbooks, 16 training elements on greenhouse operator, 49 training elements on intensive horticulture and "Ravan", "Khudaferin", "Gomur-74" durum wheat varieties for the organization of vocational training and additional education courses for job-seekers. At the same time, he is the chairman of the Public Union "Support to Young Agrarian Scientists and Specialists"
