A project of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is implemented in Azerbaijan

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is implemented the project "Assessment and monitoring of forest resources (GCP / AZE / 007 / GFF) to strengthen the knowledge base in the field of forestry in Azerbaijan". Within the framework of the project, an agreement was signed between the FAO Partnership and Coordination Office in Azerbaijan and the  Research Institute of Crop Husbandry of the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan on "Measures to restore pastures in Agdash and Zardab districts." . According to the agreement, the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry has undertaken to improve pastures in the forest areas, which is a component of the project. According to the agreement, the Institute of Agriculture ET has undertaken to improve pastures in the forest areas, which is a component of the project. For this purpose, 50 ha (100 ha in total) of pastures were improved in Arabsheki and Otmanoba villages of Agdash region. FAO experts Nellie Dolidze and Ruslan Salmanov visited the project site to assess the results of the project. In this regard, the group of experts discussed the results of the project at the Institute and exchanged views on future prospects. The meeting was attended by Faig Khudayev, Director of the Agricultural Research Institute, Atif Zamanov, Head of the Working Group on Pasture Restoration and Deputy Director for Production, and Rasib Zeynalov, National Expert of the Pasture Restoration Project.
